SJRC 2008 Summer Programs
Collegiate Competitive Program - Intermediate and Senior Level
South Jersey Rowing Club is
pleased to offer a program this summer for college students or those just out
of college. We will run a full summer
program for college rowers looking to improve themselves and stay in shape for
their college team. We will be open to
males and females, heavyweight and lightweight.
We will have both sweep and sculling boats available for use. The focus will be to put together the best
boats possible for competition in the USRowing Club National Championship and
Canadian Henley. Depending on the number
of rowers plus their skills and strength we will determine where to place our
focus, 4+’s or 8’s, 2x’s or 4x’s.
Whatever boats we put forth our ultimate goal is to have a strong
showing at Nationals by winning.
We have a very competent and
successful coaching staff that has already done quite well at the Junior
Level. The coaches bring many, many
years of experience at the high school and college level. In the past we have coached rowers who have
made the Junior National Team and some who have gone on to make the Senior
National Team. Currently we have several
rowers who are strong candidates to be invited to the Junior National Team
selection camp or the Junior Development Camp.
If you are coming from out of the
area we will do our best to try to help you find housing.
