Fall Season

The Registration "Fall Season" is not currently available.

2021 Fall Season

High School Competitive

Open to 9th-12th grade high school students with prior rowing experience or for those that have completed a learn-to-row program.  

  • September 7th - November 14, 2021 (unload/re-rig practice after last regatta will be a TBA day after 11/14/21-all athletes are required to attend)
  • PRACTICE:  Tuesdays - Fridays 4-6 PM, Saturdays 7-9 AM
  • REGATTAS:  10/23-24 Head of the Charles-Boston (select crews only); 10/30-31 Head of the Schuylkill-Philly; 11/6-7 Head of the Hooch-Chattanooga (select crews only); 11/13 Frostbite-Mercer, & 11/14 Braxton-Mercer. 

Cost:  $1,250*   Payable either in full or two installments; $600 due at the time of registration and $650 due by October 1, 2021.   *There will be no refunds unless a sickness or injury occurs within the first two weeks of a season. Refunds must be promptly requested by contacting SJRC via email. A $50.00 processing fee will be applied.  If a program is cancelled by SJRC, full refunds will be issued.

Registration must be completed by a Parent or Guardian for Athletes under 18 years of ageAthletes will not be allowed in a boat until their registration is complete.  Additionally, all SJRC high school program rowers and coxswains will need to have a current USRowing Membership (at least the "Basic + Regatta Package" membership option -  approximately $26) at the time of registration valid through the last day of the program.  Go to USRowing's website to register, use the club code: AQR49.

2020 Fall Racing Season

South Jersey Rowing Club offers a Fall  2020 High School Program focusing on developing strong technical improvements.  The team trains on the Cooper River at the Camden County Boathouse (7050 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. 

Athletes who who are new to SJRC must either complete a Learn to Row Program or have previous rowing experience.  

High School Program

  • September 14 through November 14. 
  • Practice will be weekdays (M-F) from 4:00-6:30 pm and Saturdays at 6:00 -9:00 am for JV/V and from 10:00 am-1:00 pm for novice. 
  •  All athletes must have completed a Learn to Row program or have rowing experience.
  • Cost $850 (program fees reduced since all regattas cancelled)

Middle School and High School Learn to Row 

  • September 19
  • 9:00 am-11:00 am on Saturday and Sunday for 6 weeks.

Colllege Athletes....Welcome back to SJRC!!

  • Open to former SJRC rowers now in college but unable to participate in their college program due to COVID 19.
  • College rowers who are not former SJRC members will be considered depending on availability. 
  • Practice will be with the High School group following the same schedule and with the same cost. 

All athletes can expect to both sweep and scull.  Boatings/line ups will be assigned by the coaching staff. 


  • COVID Rules will be in place.  Athletes will be required to submit waivers to SJRC and to the boathouse. Masks are required until you are in the boat and off the dock.  Hand and equipment sanitizer will be provided and expected to be used.

All fall regattas that we know of have been cancelled.  Many like HOSR, HOCR, and Hooch will be virtual, and we will participate in those if at all possible.
