2020 Spring Middle School Program

The 2020 Spring middle school program will begin Monday, February 3rd, 2020 and running thru May 20th, 2020.  The spring program is sixteen weeks long.  The first eight weeks will be at our indoor warehouse (location TBD) where athletes are instructed on the rowing machines, cross training for rowing, and general rowing technique.  The second half of the season will be located at the boathouse on Cooper River where the athletes will transition to the river for more instruction.  When at the boathouse there is still some land training (especially on bad weather days, wind or rain) in addition to the on the water training.  All athletes should wear athletic clothes, sneakers and bring a refillable water bottle to practice. Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 PM to 7:30/45 PM. 

River practice will be held at the Camden County Boathouse on Cooper River, 7050 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.

Indoor will run February 3 until March 25th,  Transition to the boathouse will be March 30th and finish on May 20th.

All athletes must pass a swim test prior to being able to row on the water.  The club will announce a date in the winter where the entire team will take it's annual swim test.

Program details:

  • Open to boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
  • Program is capped at 30.
  • Registration is located on Regatta Central
  • Cost is $879. 
  • No makeup dates will be held.  Days it is raining, too windy, or conditions don't allow boats on the water practice will be run on land.
  • Wear athletic clothes, sneakers, and bring a refillable water bottle.  DISPOSABLE WATER BOTTLES are not permitted. Do not wear baggy clothes (top or bottom) as it will interfere with the equipment.
  • Program focuses on technical instruction, while developing fitness.
