Summer Season

The Registration "Summer Season" is not currently available.

Competitive Summer 2022

June 21st - August 13, 2022

7:00 -9:00 A.M.  Mondays - Saturdays

Cost:  $1,500*

An intensive program for experienced high school and U23 collegiate rowers/coxswains that have competed in at least one full season of racing (rowers from all schools and clubs are welcome).  This is a selective program geared toward junior and collegiate athletes focused on competing in top boats at regattas this summer.  Potential 2022 summer regattas:  IDR (Philly), USRowing Youth Club/Summer Nationals (Oak Ridge, TN),  USRowing Elite Club/Summer Nationals (Mercer), Philadelphia Youth (juniors only), Overpeck Summer Sprints (Bergen County), Canadian Henley (Ontario, Canada), other regattas and scrimmages may be added throughout the summer.  Some double session days and/or additional workouts to be completed on your own will be added. 

 

Payable either in full or two installments; $750 due at the time of registration and $750 due by June 30, 2022 .   *Please note that this program fee cost does not include additional expenses for regattas/events.  Please review our program fee structure policy here for other fees.  There will be no refunds unless the registered SJRC athlete incurs a sickness or injury. Refunds must be promptly requested by contacting SJRC via email. A $50.00 processing fee will be applied.  If a program is cancelled by SJRC, full refunds will be issued. 

 

Registration must be completed by a Parent or Guardian for Athletes under 18 years of age.  Athletes will not be allowed to participate in a practice until their registration is complete.  Additionally, all SJRC rowers and coxswains in this program will need to have a current USRowing Membership (at least the "Basic + Regatta Package" membership option -  approximately $35) at the time of registration valid through August 15, 2022.  Go to USRowing's website to register, use the club code: AQR49. 

 

SWIM TEST:  Before being permitted in a boat, athletes must have completed a swim test.  If you have not previously performed a swim test and have a valid form on file at SJRC, a signed certification from your school or coach, your swim team or proof of the athlete's valid current lifeguard certifications will be accepted (download the form HERE).   Proof of the athlete's completed swim test will need to be uploaded at the time of registration.

 

ATHLETES 18 and UP must be complete SafeSport Training:  SJRC is a organization member of USRowing. Consistent with USRowing mandates, all SJRC athletes 18 years of age and up, as well as all staff, Board members and volunteers must hold a current, valid SafeSport Trained Certificate.  Your Safesport Certificate will be uploaded during program registration (screenshots are acceptable, make sure the date is legible).  Same must be valid through August 13, 2022.  Proceed to this USRowing link to complete your Safesport training: https://usrowing.org/sports/2016/6/1/safesport.aspx
