The High School Spring season commences with indoor training on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. The team will continue indoor training (ergs, weight room) until the river reopens in March 2022. The Spring season ends on Thursday, May 21, 2022, except for crews that qualify for Youth Nationals (June 9-12, 2022).
Payable either in full or three installments; $600 due at the time of registration, $600 due by February 15, 2022 and $600 due by March 15, 2022. *There will be no refunds unless a sickness or injury occurs. Refunds must be promptly requested by contacting SJRC via email. A $50.00 processing fee will be applied. If a program is cancelled by SJRC, full refunds will be issued.
Registration must be completed by a Parent or Guardian for Athletes under 18 years of age. Athletes will not be allowed to participate in a practice until their registration is complete. Additionally, all SJRC high school rowers and coxswains will need to have a current USRowing Membership (at least the "Basic + Regatta Package" membership option - approximately $35) at the time of registration valid through June 12, 2022. 2022 Regatta Dates
Below are tentative regatta dates for 2022. Please block off the entire day as all athletes are required to be there from start to finish of each regatta. Additional regattas may be added to our season as newly announced races are confirmed.
April 15th & 16th – Mercer Lake Sprints (West Windsor, N.J.)
May 1st – Cooper Cup (Cooper River, N.J.)
May 14th & 15th – USRowing Mid Atlantic Youth Championships (West Windsor, N.J.)
Potential regatta dates for Spring 2021. Please block off the entire day as all athletes are required to be there from start to finish of each regatta. Working together on regatta day is an important goal SJRC works to promote with the athletes. Regattas remain TBD due to covid at this time. Scrimmages may be added into the schedule.
April 17 & 18: Mercer Lake Sprints - West Windsor, NJ
May 8 & 9: USRowing MidAtlantics Championships - West Windsor NJ
June 10 - 13: USRowing Youth Nationals Championships Sarasota, FL (***Qualifying Crews only***)

Training will be virtual during December 2020. A training program was sent to the current team by e-mail.
Spring 2021 Novice Development Program
Geared toward most of our learn-to-row graduates or those returning to rowing after time away. Indoor practice 2-3 days per week, 4-6 PM; Water practice 5-6 days per week (same time as high school). Email us for more details. For returning rowers, follow the sign in procedure above to access registration.
First practice Saturday, February 20, 2021 8-10 AM
The High School Novice program is geared toward High School students with no prior rowing experience.
The Middle School Novice program is geared toward Middle School students with some rowing experience and determined by SJRC to be ready for this level. Middle School athletes with no rowing experience see below.
April 6th - May 29, 2021. Practice held Tuesdays - Fridays 4-6 PM, Saturdays 8-10 AM at the Camden County Boathouse.
There may be regatta/scrimmage opportunities for these novice rowers/coxswains this spring, but no guarantee. Cost: $1,000. Email us for more details.
