July 18th - 28th
August 1st - 11th

Two week sessions; Mondays - Thursdays, 9-11 AM

Cost:  $350.00 per session

Our Summer Novice program is open to 6th - 12th grade students.  This is a non-competitive, co-ed program and all must have completed learn-to-row prior to attending a Novice session.  Athletes in the session will be divided into age groups and/or experience levels.

Athletes may sign up for multiple sessions throughout the summer. Each Novice Session is a two week long rowing program, running Monday through Thursday (unless specifically noted), 9:00 - 11:00 A.M.  Athletes will fine tune their boat handling, rowing and racing technique, in addition to working on teamwork, erging, fitness and safety.  Practices will move indoors during inclement weather at 7905 Browning Road, Suite 202, Pennsauken (across the street from the Boathouse).  On-the-water practices will be at the Camden County Boathouse on the Cooper River, 7050 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, N.J. 08109.

Registration must be completed by a Parent or Guardian.  Only athletes with completed registrations and a verified swim test will be permitted in a boat.

Swim Test:  All athletes must be able to swim, be comfortable around the water and have completed a swim test.  If you have not previously performed a swim test and have a valid form on file at SJRC, a signed certification from your school or coach, your swim team or proof of the athlete's valid current lifeguard certifications will be accepted (download the form HERE).  Proof of the athlete's completed swim test will need to be uploaded at the time of registration.

Refunds:  There will be no refunds unless a sickness or injury occurs. Refunds must be promptly requested by contacting SJRC via email here. A $50.00 processing fee will be applied.  If a program is cancelled by SJRC, full refunds will be issued.
