New for 2019 the South Jersey Rowing Club will run a four week (Monday thru Thursday) program for athletes that have graduated eight grade and are moving on to high school. The athletes must have at least completed a learn to row program so they have a basic knowledge of the sport. The goal is to race the athletes at the Philadelphia Youth Regatta, which is July 20th in Philadelphia. Practice will run 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM starting Monday, June 24th thru the regatta on July 20th. Registration is now open on Regatta Central.
2019 Competitive High School Summer Rowing
The South Jersey Rowing Club Competitive program is open to any high school aged athlete from any rowing club with at least one competitive spring racing season experience. The team trains on the Cooper River Monday thru Friday, 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, June 14th thru June 21st. Beginning June 24th practice will be 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM Monday thru Fridays. Saturday mornings will be 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM. We will be holding second practices each day from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM which will be focused on smaller boat work and proper sculling instruction. The second practice will not be mandatory but is highly encouraged to attend both sessions. All athletes must be a member of USRowing with a Championship level membership, which is located here. Program fees are $985 for the summer. Registration is located online at Regatta Central, installment plan (initial installment is due by July 8th, and the second and final will open July 8th and due by August 1st) or full payment. After athletes sign up the club will contact you for uniform sizing information. Please contact us with any questions regarding the high school program.
A U23 Program will also be offered. Please contact the club for more details regarding this program.

June 22 - Masters regatta that we will volunteer to help get the first year event off the ground.
June 29 - July 1 Independence Day Regatta, Philadelphia, PA
July 21 - Philadelphia Youth Regatta (only those athletes that do not attain the age of 19 by December 31st are eligible)
August 6 - 11 Canadian Henley St Catherine's, ON - travel to and from, hotel stay will be additional and be discussed with a parents meeting in the coming weeks.
